Summary
CoinTaxDelta lets you upload an exchange CSV, review estimated gains and losses, and download review files. The processing happens entirely in your browser. We do not run accounts, a database, or server-side storage of your transaction data.
What we do not collect
- We do not upload your CSV files to a CoinTaxDelta server. Parsing and the gain/loss simulation run locally in your browser.
- We do not require an account, name, address, or password to use the tool.
- We do not set advertising or analytics cookies.
- We do not connect to your exchange or wallet accounts.
Data stored in your browser
To make the tool usable, CoinTaxDelta saves a small amount of data in your browser’s local storage on your own device:
- A lightweight history of your most recent uploads (such as file name, selected country, counts, and summary gain/loss values). Full uploaded files are not saved.
- Your supporter unlock state and a masked version of any unlock code or license key you enter.
This data stays on your device. You can remove it at any time by clearing your browser’s site data for CoinTaxDelta.
Service providers we use
CoinTaxDelta relies on a small number of third parties. They only receive data in the situations described below.
- Cloudflare Pages hosts and serves the website. As with any website, the hosting provider may process standard technical request data such as IP address for security and delivery.
- Polar validates a supporter license key, and only when you choose to enter one. The key you type is sent to Polar to confirm it is valid. Your CSV data is never sent.
- Gumroad handles supporter purchases if you buy access. Any payment and contact details you provide are collected and processed by Gumroad under its own privacy policy.
- X (Twitter) is linked from the footer only as an external profile link. No data is shared by the link itself.
Your choices and rights
Because transaction processing is local and we do not maintain server-side accounts, the most direct control you have is your own browser: clearing site data removes the locally stored history and unlock state. For purchases, requests relating to payment data are handled by Gumroad. If you have a privacy question, contact us using the details below.
